Nursery
'Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.'
O. Fred Donaldson
Welcome to Nursery.
At nursery, every day is an adventure filled with laughter, discovery, and learning through play! Children explore the world around them through hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity—whether they're building castles in the sandpit, painting masterpieces, or role-playing in the home corner. Our approach is rooted in the belief that play is the most powerful way for young minds to grow. Through carefully planned experiences, children develop social skills, confidence, and a love of learning that sets the foundation for their future. We also introduce early literacy and numeracy in a way that feels like part of the fun. Using the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds phonics scheme, children begin to recognise sounds and letters through engaging games, songs, and storytelling. For maths, we follow the White Rose Maths scheme, which brings numbers to life through playful problem-solving, patterns, and practical activities. Whether they're counting teddy bears or spotting shapes in the garden, children are constantly learning in ways that feel joyful and natural. Nursery is where the magic of learning truly begins!
